Exhibitions and events

Gaon’s Salon

The salon will host designers and curators, listeners and speakers, thinkers and creators, questioners and responders, for a two-day occurrence of encounters and open conversations. Friday’s talks and lectures will be spent over a drink at “Hadir” bar.

On Saturday, a tour of the exhibitions will take place, as will talks with the designers, the curators and the audience, about the surrounding installations and the outside world.

A weekend of conversations about design and creation, sharing and solitude, conversations about raw materials, thoughts, sketches and mistakes, conversations about how we look back as we move forward. Conversations about time and place, local identity, East and West, ancient knowledge and new interpretation.

Galit Gaon – Curator, Creative Director of the postgraduate curatorial program at Shenkar, marks thirty years this year of curating in Israeli design and is a facilitator of its exposure among international arenas.
