The Imagination of Human

What is ‘Asian’ for american eyes?

“The Imagination of Human” investigates the depiction of the ‘Asian’ in Western popular culture, and how it shapes cultural identity. it aims to unravel how humans use imagined realities as a tool to unify strangers in mass scales towards common goals.

“The Imagination of Human” brings these elements together to explore how this image of identity, as intertwined in life, culture and society, frames the conflicts that Asian-Americans have to navigate through.

Through an audio-visual experience, the investigative research on the development of cultural identity turns into a multi-perspective documentary comprised of found footage and layered with animated illustration – a created landscape of projected images.
