What constitutes the meeting point between East and West? Where do the two collide, and how does the encounter between them, whether charged or symbiotic, engender new hybrids? Five leading design academies in Israel present works and installations by students and alumni who analyze and disassemble the intersection between extremes that generate that which is new. HIT Holon Institute of Technology, the Industrial Design Department at the Hadassah Academic College, Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, Visual Communications Department at The NB Haifa School of Design, and Shenkar College of Engineering and Design, have each received a space, one of five identical rooms, to propose a contemporary perspective of the institutes that are training the designers of the future.
