Jerusalem Design Week – Activities For the Whole Family

A family event in partnership with The Train Theater. Creative workshops for children of all ages and plays will run throughout the day and two plays will be acted out:

“The Emperor’s New Clothes” : In a unique, refined, and sensitive fashion, in a beautiful, most inspiring setting, the actress Nili Dvir will present the well known tale by H. C. Andersen. The performance employs the art of readymade based on the use of everyday objects detached from their original context. For children aged 5 and over. approx. 50 minutes.

“The Singing City”: The entire play takes place on the bodies of actresses Hila Flashkes and Liat Shabtai, incorporating object, sounds, and puppets. Two young girls’ journey to the big city, during which they become dancing roads, tall buildings, a shopping center, and lively parades. The tender quiet and the mischievous noise are joined together as one. For children aged 3 and over. approx. 40 minutes.

The musical performance: “Stories to the Sounds of the Rainbow” : A performer and storyteller accompanied by two musicians, sailing through stories and melodies with the audience, on a magical imaginative journey. For children aged 4 and over. approx. 45 minutes. Free entrance
